WHY I LOVE

Philosophy

Throughout my life, I have always had a restless nature and unquenchable thirst for seeking the truth without conditions or prescriptive commitments, which would limit me to uncritical and dogmatic beliefs about people and reality. I am interested in the intellectual problems of the world and the possible finding of any logical argument that forms the basis for a substantiated, even temporarily, epistemological or metaphysical theory.

In order to discover the true events of the past, which we use to certify our leading role in life, I rely heavily on observing things that are at the edges of my consciousness. The presence of other people is a necessary condition for this discovery process to occur.

I am, by nature and conviction, an idealistic philosopher. That is, I am someone who believes in the supremacy of Soul or Mind. I believe that what we easily recognize as the material universe that surrounds us is the Expression or Creation of a Supreme Mind.

With this important starting point of thought, which often predetermines my philosophical discourse, I consider philosophy or even world religions as very "ambiguous" but possibly necessary ways in which people have searched for spiritual truth for centuries.

The purpose of my philosophical thinking and my writing is to offer people, even a little, within the measure of my powers, the awareness of this Supreme and Eternal Mind.

I am a theologian and a Christian, but I have an interest in many different ways of finding the Truth. My attempt is to understand what antidiametrical philosophical paths might have to teach people, from the distant Parmenides to Wittgenstein and Popper.

I believe that in today's world, the most important responsibility of individuals who think critically and religiously is to ensure that their beliefs help to nurture the human spirit and contribute to the intellectual progress of all rational beings. I suggest that we strive to create a positive impact on the world and promote the well-being of all sentient beings.

The path of philosophy that I follow leads me free and from the beginning exonerated in order to harmoniously relate the inherited philosophical and religious beliefs, with the modern scientific worldview. If this was a universal principle, then I feel that people could discover their own faith, in a truly global unifying framework, without borders and nations.

These few lines provide insight into who I am, and may help to explain why my writings primarily fall into two categories: philosophy and religion. My entire life has been an intense mental test, as I strive to understand what I already know. If I am able to comprehend it, then I will believe it. And if I believe it, I will achieve true understanding. By understanding through belief, I am freed from the mental dependence, emotional desire, and existential need to know it.
